Meet Monique Hutson
Monique Hutson is a content producer and the founder of Dom Productions - offering photography, video and writing services to small businesses. That means team headshots, branding photos, product photos, promo videos, blog posts, site copy, social captions… That’s all her! Drawing from her experience developing content for various corporations, she approaches content production from a marketing standpoint. Her goal is to always ensure that whatever she creates for a client stays true to their brand and serves a purpose - whether that’s increasing engagement, brand awareness, or promoting sales. She also loves pizza, reruns of Jersey Shore, and empowering more women to get behind the camera. Monique graduated from Ryerson University in 2015 with a Bachelor's degree in journalism. She’s worked with small businesses in various industries including interior design, fashion, fitness, beauty, food, and insurance/ financial services.
What does being bold and unique mean to you?
Being bold and unique means having the courage to do the things that genuinely make you happy and are best for YOU – mentally, physically, emotionally – no matter what other people say. It will authentically show in the way you walk, talk, carry yourself… you become so happy, no one can ever bring you down! Want to work out twice a day? Do that. Want a glass of wine at 1pm? Go off. Want to wear your fave crop top in the dead of winter? That’s hot. Drown your poutine in ketchup.
When do you feel the most confident?
I feel the most confident when I’m either working out or working on my biz. I absolutely love doing these things. Both give me this sense that I’m in the right place at the right time, doing the right thing. The anxiety melts away and I feel empowered.

Somebody told me this last year and it stuck with me: “Failure isn't a sign that you shouldn't be doing what you're doing.
